Due to the adventures of the monument, preserved are only a few fragments from the pediments of the Temple of Athena Nike, which makes the identification of their subjects uncertain. It has been suggested that the east pediment featured the Gigantomachy and the west the Amazonomachy.

Fragment from the left foot of a man from which the toes are missing. From the footwear, most possibly a sandal, the sole is indicated. On the foot’s inner curve a small projection can be seen which may be part of a garment’s edge.
